Krishak Bandhu Status Check 2024
The chief minister of West Bengal Mamta Banerjee launched the “Krishak Bandhu Scheme” for the welfare of farmers on January 1st, 2019. Under this scheme, beneficiary farmers receive various benefits including financial assistance for cultivation purposes. The Department of Agriculture, Govt of WB is the responsible body to implement this scheme across the state.
Under the “Krishak Bandhu Death Benefit” component of the scheme, in the case of the farmer’s death between the age of 18 to 60 years, the State Government provides a one-time lump sum grant of Rs 2 lakh to the family of the deceased to ensure social security to the bereaved family.
