English Speech on Gandhi Jayanti (Long Speech)

Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated every year on the 2nd of October for the birth anniversary of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. He is the man who led the fight for the Independence of India from British rule with ‘Non-Violence’ principles. His birth anniversary is of great significance not only in India but also in other countries.

This day also represents that every individual in the world should live life with a non-violence approach. Gandhi Ji has always lived his life without violence therefore, he is also known as the Father of our Nation. However, this day is a tribute to the great personality, teachings, and ideologies that he has given us in his life.

Most importantly, he was the only man on earth who guided people to fight for their freedom through a non-violent approach. At the time of British Colonial Rule in India, Gandhi Ji played a significant role in the Independence of India. He is the one who is never afraid of Britishers and always stands up in front leading the country.

The legacy Gandhiji has left behind still does not fail to impact the lives of people living in modern times. Therefore, based on his ideologies and teachings, India launched the ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan,’ or Clean India in 2014. Moreover, the current government is trying to implement his thoughts and teachings for the betterment of our country. And we as an individual also learn from his life and follow his path in our own life.

Gandhi Jayanti Speech in Hindi
