Mr. Ajaypal Singh Banga, known as Ajay Banga was born to Harbhajan Singh Banga and Jaswant Banga in the Khadki cantonment area of Pune city in Maharashtra state in 1959. His family belongs to the Jalandhar city of Punjab state. He was born in Pune because his father was in Indian Army and was posted in Khadki cantonment as an Army Officer. His brother M.S. Banga (Manvinder “Vindi” Singh Banga) is a known businessman in India. He was the CEO of Hindustan Unilever.
